This thread has a pink R for a reason.

So what if he was interrupting her study session? It was for a good cause in the end, wasn't it? Kiska had clearly been working extra hard if she was so tired and had been studying for as long as she had been. Well, JR didn't really know how long she had been studying, but he assumed it had been a while because she was so tired. Or maybe the lioness hadn't been sleeping well. Who knew. Either way, the snuggles and the kisses and perhaps even some touches might be good for her. Or at least, that's what he told himself as he sent the last owl to her and then shifted around his part of the dorm, picking up some dirty socks and clothes. It was something the young woman had always teased him about, for years - how his clothes never actually made it to the hamper.

A smile had slithered onto his features, stamped there with permanent ink as he moved across the floor barefoot, in only boxers. It would not be the first time Kiss had seen him in such little clothing - certainly, it wasn't any different than being in shorts - not really, anyways. Yet, this time it suddenly seemed more intimate and a streak of nervousness broke through him, his green eyes darting to the nearest pair of gym shorts or sweats, wondering if he should put them on, at least out of courtesy. Then again, it was hot and Kiss knew that when it was hot, JR was found in very little clothing and she had never really minded before, had she? At least, the young woman had never actually said anything.

No, he was over thinking things. Of course he was. Even if they were a couple, Kiss sneaking up to his bed after hours was nothing new and they had done this hundreds of times before. The only difference was that tonight there would be kissing involved. If the owls she had sent him were any indication, Kiss wanted them just as much as he did. Moving back to the bed, JR gathered the parchment she had just spent the last hour or two sending him and put them in a neat stack - bundling them all together before taking them to his trunk. He already knew they would not be thrown away - simply because Kiss had written them.

He was a love sick boy and he knew it. The problem was, JR couldn't seem to stop it. Shifting to slide into the bed, the cool sheets hitting his heated flesh, JR sighed softly. A heat had creeped up his neck and the young man fidgeted a little more nervously on the bed than he might have a few years ago. Kiss wasn't just coming up to his bed - his girlfriend was coming up to his bed and JR's entire teenage body knew it. There would be kissing and cuddling sure, but if the heat in his body had anything to say about it, there might just be other things, as well. Shaking his head, JR tried to clear his thoughts. That was not originally why he had invited Kiska into his bed at all. She had always expressed sleeping better with either him or Liam and now after her mom passed, it seemed like an extra logical thing to JR.

Right. Keep telling that to his hormonal, teenage boy body, right?

Well their owls had certainly taken an unforeseen turn. Kiska had been sort of minding her own business, doing at least some studying, when his first owl had fluttered down onto her book in her lap. One look at the sender’s name and the young woman knew that any further work she would have done with her Transfiguration was essentially over. Not that she was complaining, of course. Interactions with JR were far more entertaining and fun than any amount of schoolwork could ever hope to be and that was just going to be that. So their owls had continued on, taking precedence over the rather uninspired paper the girl had been working on. Perhaps a break from trying to read the same words over and over again would do her some good, anyhow. Her brain needed a bit of a break.

Initially, it had been just a little break that Kiss had been prepared for. But as their owls took a more flirty turn and, ultimately, an accepted invitation, it had become clear that all the work that was going to be done tonight had already been completed. And, really, there were no objections from this side of the party. In fact, a smile had spread on her features as the girl gathered up her belongings and JR’s pillow, carting everything up to her dormitory and setting it all upon her bed. It wasn’t like there was a rush to get over to his dorm, but… It felt like there was. There was a quickness in her step that belied the nerves that were fluttering through her – typically, her movements were a little slower when she was nervous. More deliberate as part of the effort to calm everything. These excited nerves would take some getting used to.

But now, Kiska was presented the problem with what to wear. Looking down at her current attire, a tired old t-shirt and some shorts didn’t feel like they were going to cut it. JR had seen her in dozens of outfits dozens of times and only commented on them maybe once or twice, but Kiss couldn’t help but to want to make her current and future outfit selections sort of stick in his mind. She loved clothes, and the right kind of something could draw the right kind of attention. But… what was the right kind of attention? What exactly was she seeking here? Oh, hell, here came the millions of questions for herself. What should I wear? Should I just keep this on? But I have this, too, that’s a little nicer. But it’s not like he’d care… Maybe this instead? By the end of it all, the Gryffindor had only succeeded in pulling her hair in a messy knot upon her head. That wasn’t really much progress.

A heavy breath was blown out in resignation, determining it was probably best to just keep on what she was already wearing. A lot less effort that way, one would suppose. But as the lioness straightened from her trunk, her eyes caught a glimpse of a sleeve that had become rumpled in her haste to find something, partially tugged out from underneath a shirt of hers. Eyes widening as she realized what it was, Kiss pulled it free with a bit of relief. It was an oversized button down sleep shirt, as unremarkable as that sounds, that came to just about her knees and covered all the important bits while being both roomy and a little bit… something else. What the proper word was wasn’t dwelt upon too long – no doubt JR would be wondering what was taking her so long since her last owl.

She slipped into her slippers and from her dorm with his pillow tucked under one arm then, rolling the sleeves tidily up to her elbows so they didn’t completely cover her hands. One down staircase and up the other she went, finding his dorm with ease and slipping in quietly lest any of JR’s other dormmates were sleeping. Coming quietly to his bed, Kiska took a second by the light to make sure it was actually the right bed, before climbing in next to the boy, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “Well hi there,” she half whispered, smiling as she adjusted the blankets on her half. “Sorry I took a bit, was getting this packed away.” No need for him to know exactly what had taken her so long, right?

At one point in time, Hogwarts beds had seemed spacious. Hadn't the two of them fit on the mattress with lots of extra space and room to themselves? Of course, now Kiss and JR were both much bigger; had grown quite a bit taller, her half of the bed wasn't fully equipped for her. Then again, neither was his. They would be close tonight, sharing body heat and touches and everything else. Perhaps it had been a good thing that it had been a few years since they had done this. Then again, maybe the kisses would have started years ago, too. It was something JR didn't want to dwell on at the moment and letting it go mentally, the young man shifted from his spot, lifting his wand from the side table in his fingers and casted closing charms and silencing charms on his curtains. No matter what they ended up doing this evening the Head Boy did not want to be interrupted. The briefest thought flickered that he could enlarge the bed also, but really, he liked that they needed to be in close proximity.

"Hi," he smiled as his piercing green eyes settled back on the young woman who had joined his bed, forcing them to stay in places they should rather than wandering over her body before she slipped beneath the covers with him. It was going to be a long evening if his body kept reacting to every movement she made, the simple, brief touch of their legs touching skin to skin as she was settling on the bed made a hot heat flash through his veins, starting at the point of contact and settling other places within his body. A lump formed in his throat and he swallowed carefully, shifting to his side to see her better.

"You probably should have kept studying." Even as the words left his mouth, JR knew he was being somewhat of a hypocrite - he didn't want her anywhere but here and he definitely didn't want her to be thinking of Transfiguration notes right at this moment. He propped himself up on his right elbow, facing her. Her face was illuminated in the light from his bedside; the lantern he had not yet extinguished for the night. He wanted to be the focus of her attention right this moment; every bit that she was his.

Licking his lips, his eyes moved over her again - at least now she was covered by the grey sheet on his bed, but truth be told, it was as though the lion had x-ray vision - he could see the curves of her legs in his mind as though he was seeing them. Maybe he had spent more time than he had actually been aware of when they were younger recognizing her features. Or maybe he needed to stop being such a creep with their swimming adventures as of late. JR's gaze moved back to her face, his smile gone. Instead, there was a more heated expression, one that did not leave room for any question that he had desire flickering through him like an greasy hot flame. Leaning in, his lips touched hers and there was no other words to be spoken. None at all, as his mouth wanted to devour hers. Yeah, definately a hypocrite, when it came to talking about studying.

You probably should have kept studying. In spite of what he was saying, Kiss was fairly certain they were just empty words. Neither of them wanted her to still be studying, continuing their little note-passing session via owl. Not when they were able to be right here with one another. JR’s eyes hadn’t left her figure since her arrival and, truth be told, there was a weight in them that the girl wasn’t used to seeing nor used to the reaction it stirred within. They had been childhood friends, their encounters full of innocence and fun in the years past. Yet now, after having finally made amends from their little friendship hiatus, that innocence seemed to be trying to cling on like a lion to a cliffside. Right before another lion came along and helped to push them off. That is to say, it wasn’t doing such a swell job of sticking around any time the two came together. There had been run-ins in the corridors after hours and other activities that had felt charged with an energy Kiska hadn’t ever felt before. It warmed her through and hadn’t yet failed to make her pulse quicken in her veins.

Now was no different.

JR’s gaze had wandered briefly away before back to meeting hers once again and, once green met blue, the charge between them returned in force. His eyes appeared darker, even, than the lioness could recall ever having seen them – and yes, that accounted for the shadows cast on his figure from his bedside flame. Were these the stirring feelings of desire and passion that came up so often in those books she read? Rather suddenly, those books felt silly. Comparing real life to them felt silly. You could read of fictional – and real – experiences, but nothing would prepare or be the same as experiencing it firsthand. There was nothing soft or innocent about the way the other Gryffindor was looking at her now. Indeed, his gaze could only be described as heavy. Hungry, perhaps. Though not the hunger that could be filled by a simple trip to the kitchens. No, a hunger that very much implied there was something that was wanted and needed to be had.

It wasn’t long that Kiska had to wonder what that something was, for he was leaning in and, seemingly of its own accord, her body was leaning in to his as well. The same warmth that filled her each time they had kissed so far hit her now, enveloping each limb down to her toes. Probably won’t need the blankets much longer… she had a half-second to think before there was nothing else to focus on but JR. She brought her fingers up to his jaw as she returned his kiss, tracing it almost tentatively; as new as this all was, so too was the physical aspect. What exactly was one supposed to do with their hands when kissing someone else? And what were you supposed to do with the rest of your body when you were kissing someone else and laying down? Laying still didn’t seem to be the answer, as the rest of her body felt the need to move. To wrap itself up with him as much as it could. But such a reaction felt a little extreme… It was, wasn’t it? Or maybe it wasn’t – as her thoughts crowded together at the front of her mind, Kiss realized that she had indeed shifted closer to the boy before her, one of her legs sliding over his. Whoops.

Breaking away and shifting back just a little on the bed, a soft laughed slipped out. Her nerves weren’t done with her yet. “Sorry, I’m crowding you a bit. Didn’t realize these beds were quite this narrow… They felt much larger when we were kids.”

The flame burned through his veins and JR was fairly certain he was going to be overcome by this kiss. One of his hands rested on her side as they kissed, just above her hip and fingers clenched slightly in the material as his lips fused with hers. JR wasn't willing to let her lips go and instead, the young man kissed as though his life depended on it, the feelings of heat and passion rushing through him and exploding slightly in his heart as Kiss finally pulled away. He could still feel her lips pressed to his and his free hand reached up to his own lips, where they felt warm / It was a strange sensation, feeling a kiss even as it was completed, but JR wouldn't call it a bad feeling.

Had that soft noise just come from his own throat? Licking his lips, JR's piercing green eyes scanned Kiss's face, trying desperately to focus and failing more than a little. She was so beautiful - a small amount of blond hair was framing her face, her blue eyes seemed to suck him in and leave him breathless all over again. Tingling sensations shot down his spine and for half a second he wondered how he had gone without kissing her for seventeen years of his life because this was too precious and too amazing to not have been doing it with her. His arm holding himself up on the bed shifted a little and he gave her a small smile. Her fingers had wrapped around his jaw during the kiss and he loved the softness of them in contrast to the small amount of unshaved hair he had on his jawline. He could close his eyes and relax right here. Right in her hand.

Or... on the other hand, heat could flash through him, as she fit so nicely along his body after throwing a leg up and over his. Redness started to creep into his face as she moved, sure she would feel things that she perhaps shouldn't. It was only for a brief second he thought of this before letting it go - he wanted to be close to her. It didn't matter how hot it was, the young man wanted to share kisses and body heat with the girl who had invaded his mind, his life and his bed. Nothing else in the world mattered other than Kiska Ferdenova. JR shifted slightly, his green eyes seemingly darkening as he watched her, his breath a little heavy from the previous kiss. Patiently, the young man waited until she was done talking. Was he even listening to her words? Something about space. Maybe. Who the hell needed space?

Not bothering to answer, JR's hand moved, pulling her closer to him, on top of him even, as the blankets twisted around their bodies, JR's lips had already fused with hers again, because kissing was all that mattered right now.

Ten Galleons the boy Kiska was tangled up with hadn’t heard a word of anything she’d said. That was okay, in all honesty, because the girl would be hard-pressed to recall what exactly she’d even uttered to him in the first place. Something about giving him more room, maybe. Yes, that sounded right. It was so difficult to focus on anything that didn’t involve physical contact with JR – she was aware of his leg pressed to hers, his fingers at her hip, even her fingers at his jaw felt more alive than she could ever recall them feeling. Like every nerve ending was hypersensitive and this boy was setting everything aflame and off into chaos. Chaos that was actually quite delightful, but the lioness didn’t exactly know what to do with it.

Nor did she know what to do as their position shifted, suddenly astride him. Luckily, there wasn’t much need to think on what to do, for he was kissing her again. That made it easy, and Kiss reciprocated in kind. One hand slid around his neck while the other struggled to free her legs of the dumb sheet that had tangled up around them. It was just in the way and impeding her ability to press closer to him, a nuisance right in that moment. Breaking away to take care of it, the brief pause in kissing gave an opportunity to become aware of herself. The flushed feeling of her skin, the rosiness of her lips that was only indicated to her by how they tingled, and her heart beating harder in her chest…

What an effect this boy had on her.

With a little kick, the blankets were free from their bodies. That was just as well – perhaps it would help to cool them down a bit. But as Kiss turned back to look to JR, noting that he appeared to be under the same effects that she was, she realized that there wasn’t going to be much cooling down done here. Taking in a breath to at least maybe clear her head, the lioness reached up to pull her hair out of the messy knot it had once been in, the hem of her shirt creeping up just a little; luckily it was longer, so the creeping wasn’t too indecent. The rolling around had done a number on the blonde tresses already and there wasn’t likely to be any less rolling around, from the looks of things. Especially if that look in JR’s eye was any indication.

Not that Kiska wanted there to be less rolling around. And she was fairly certain JR didn’t, either. Giving him a smile as her pulse slowly returned to a marginally more normal rate, a light heat crept in to her cheeks. “Well this is a slightly different vantage point than I’m used to.”

At one point in time, JR's father had asked a thirteen year old JR if he had any interest in the girl who was staying with them. The thought of Kiss as anything except a friend had made JR stutter and shake his head in protest, they were only friends. Kissing his best friend was not okay, nor did he want anyone to be kissing his friend. JR had shrugged it off at the time as protectiveness of his best friend, but on some level, had his father known? Of course he was probably laughing at his son among the stars now, since they were a couple and Joseph Zerner had been the first person to call it. The memory made JR smile for a different reason and it also helped cool the jets of the flamethrower of blood pumping through his veins.

Drawing in a shaky, much needed breath, the young man shifted against the pillows on his back, finding a more comfortable position. His hand pressed against Kiss's lower back to keep her in place, should she get any ideas that he might not want her on top of him. His feet helped kick at the covers - it was too hot for them. A wandless cooling charm would be excellent right now, but JR didn't even bother - it wasn't like he had gotten anything else to actually work, why would the cooling charm work now?

A low, growl-like sound erupted from JR's throat and this time he was sure that it was coming from himself - he sounded like a possessed demon and didn't care. This girl was consuming everything in the moment and he didn't want it any other way. Licking his lips, he tried to focus on something past her to be able to actually think again. Get it together. He needed to pull himself together, despite the feelings rampaging through him. His skin was flushed and hot and even though he was in only his boxers, JR felt like ripping off his clothing. Sweat had trickled down his forehead and his tongue caught the drop. Gross. He was probably a mess.

Still, with his hips pressed to hers so nicely, JR couldn't remember a time where he had felt so alive. Shifting slightly against her, his hands ran over her back, almost possessively as he swallowed hard to finally speak. "You're mine," he stated, shortly, the words rolling off of his tongue in a demanding, possessive way - the same way he felt - hopefully, he wouldn't scare the girl away because he wanted another kiss like his life depended on it.

Oh, so that was good – it wasn’t just Kiska that felt their little cocoon was a bit too warm. The sleepshirt she was clad it continued to feel too warm for the occasion, although it wasn’t thick or heavy in the slightest. If it wouldn’t have been indecent, it would have fluttered to the ground with one of his pillows that had somehow found its way there – no doubt from their moving around and complete lack of regard for literally anything else but one another. That was okay with Kiss, though; it felt… she wasn’t quite sure how to describe it. To be the sole center of attention in a moment of passion, of desire, to be the focus and cause of JR’s labored breathing and heat in his gaze, to have his fingers pressed in the small of her back in an effort to keep her there and as a reminder of the strength harbored in his hands… Sure, it all felt very Fabio-romance-novel-esque when you tried to take a step back and look at it but, in her head, everything felt truly right. It made her feel a bit powerful, as a woman, a feeling of such that she hadn’t encountered yet in her young life.

The low rumble of his voice as he spoke sent a little shiver down the young woman’s spine, shifting a bit as she sat atop him. Even through the thin fabric of her clothing, heat followed his hands as they traveled down her back and she leaned down to kiss him once more. Heat erupted from where her lips connected with his, too, effectively undoing the last several minutes of work in regaining her composure. His words had elicited yet another response that Kiss didn’t know what to do with – a positive response from her, without question, but a brief millisecond of confusion as well. Mine seemed to hold negative connotations of belonging to someone, but the girl was aware that would never be how JR intended it. He knew her independent spirit, knew her buttons and how to push them this way or that, knew her heart – just as she knew all of these things about him. It was only meant as a way to lay claim to something she hadn’t given to anyone else in such a way: her heart. And, as of right now, more intimate moments that also had not been shared with another person.

Pressing closer down along him, Kiss’s fingers again tangled into his hair as she continued this kiss. There was nothing that she wanted – or needed – than to be closer to this boy right in this moment. It was impossible for her to conceive that they fit together so nicely and had spent so many years not realizing the true potential of their friendship. But then, that just meant they had a lot of making up for lost time to do.

Nothing to see here, shh.

Lazily, darkened blue eyes watched the boy as he reached around on the bed. What for, Kiska wasn’t entirely certain; she could only think of his hand on her skin and the warmth that seemed to emit from his palm and spread through her body. Without meaning to, she made a face as he shifted to sit up, his hand leaving her skin for the time being before he settled in again, this time with a blanket spread over them both. It was an older one, taking the girl a second to remember before a smile slowly took over her features. A few years ago, it had been a gift to her housemate, a blanket she had tried her hand at making after her mother had taught her a few simple stitches. The fact he still had it sent her already scattered emotions into another round of feeling sentimental and Kiss shifted onto her side to face him, moving closer to settle in against his chest. If this was how the more intimate side of a relationship made you feel, why would anyone want to leave the bed of their loved one?

Speaking of… “No fear of me leaving any time soon,” a smile tugged at her lips again, and Kiska tilted her head back to see the other Gryffindor better. The emotions that swirled through her now seemed to be reflected in his own expression; the same warmth, the same wonder, the same sense of feeling completed. Or, perhaps, she was just hopeful that these were all reflected in his expression. It had been such a long time since everything had felt positive, and she couldn’t get enough of it. Could they do this more often? A soft laugh slipped out before she could hold it back, offering the boy a sheepish smile. "Sorry... I was just thinking to myself that hopefully we could do this more often."

Piercing green eyes settled back on the young woman beside him in his bed. Chance was entirely important at the moment and he seemed to know it as he scampered off the blanket to find somewhere else to go. A smile tugged at JR's lips as she settled against him; this time under the blanket she had gifted him a couple of years ago. Happiness sparked though him, leaving behind a warm JR had never quite felt before. This was not his first time in a bed with a young woman but it was the first time with one he loved. One that meant more to him than pretty much anything else on the planet. He hadn't walked away from her fifth year out of fear she might be hurt - well okay, he had, but at the same time, he knew it was also because he loved her.

He had spoken to Liam a few scattered times those years and now JR knew why - even though he loved Liam, it wasn't the same type or depth that he felt here now. Warmth, love, and something like hope seemed to shine in JR's green eyes as he rested his head back on the soft pillows. His arm slipped around Kiss as she settled on his chest and his other hand seemed to move of it's own accord, moving until his fingers were tangled in the ends of her blonde hair. JR wanted to stay in this moment; somehow make it last forever. His smile became bigger as her words confirmed she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. His head tilted and his lips pressed to a sensitive spot on her neck he had found in their previous moments together.

If this was love, JR wanted it. He wanted it to stay forever. In this moment he understood why people married or wanted families and children, despite the hardships that could come along with a relationship. He suddenly understood why people risked having their loved ones taken away from them - because in this moment, JR wanted Kiska to stay forever. Every sunrise and sunset, he wanted it to be with her. Maybe that made him a big teddy bear, maybe it didn't. Maybe it made him a romantic. Or soft. Or whatever other term that could be used, but JR no longer cared. He wanted Kiska by his side and that was all that mattered to him anymore. Everything else was nothing compared to the feel of having her in his arms and he wanted her to stay. Not just the night, but forever.

JR blinked as she spoke again, lifting his head, pulling his lips away from her soft, sweet smelling skin. "I want to do it everyday. Forever. I love you, 'Nova." Okay, now he really did sound like a sap. His voice came out a little emotional and the lion blinked again. How could something so special like this make him so crazy on the inside? It was a picture perfect moment and to be brutally honest, JR needed a lifetime of them to make up for all of the pain and suffering he had seen in the last few years. Still - he was going to scare her away if he dumped a whole bunch of talk of forever on her right this moment, wasn't he? Sighing softly, his lips went back to her neck, effectively hiding his face and how emotional he felt in this very moment.

For the first time in forever, JR felt as though everything could be right in the world again. Kilsha was gone, moments with Erik or Liam could make him feel good and free for a few moments, but these moments with Kiska - they would heal him. He needed her like he needed air and water, because she was the one who would heal his soul.

Once more, warmth seemed to seep through the young woman’s very veins at his words, a smile drawing the corners of her lips upwards as she watched him. His features had long ago been memorized, though the expression he regarded her with now was one that was entirely new. Was there a bit of wonder in his expression that she knew was mirrored in her own? Lazily, Kiska’s fingers reached out to brush through his hair, threading and playing with the short ends. It was a bit longer on the top, fluffier though dampened at the moment from the exertion of their activities. The girl had always liked to run her fingers through it, usually as a way to keep herself occupied with something while trying to read through her Potions textbook as the two worked on an assignment together. There was just so much information in that book that was not all that interesting… Blinking as her thoughts started to get away from her, fingers flexed lightly against his head as Kiss brought herself back around to the here and now with JR. Nothing else mattered in this moment than being here with him, both physically and emotionally.

“I love you, too,” she spoke softly, though her fellow Gryffindor was going to be the only one that would be able to hear her. Unaware of the charms JR had used, she simply assumed that if his housemates had not woken as of yet and they certainly weren’t going to with some hushed whispers. It was almost as though the two were in their own little world made up of his bed and the curtains drawn around it. This was a world that Kiska could happily live in for the rest of her life. Feeling more content than she could recall feeling in a long time, the lioness let her fingers fall away from the boy’s hair and settle over her stomach. It wouldn’t be long now before she started to drift off to sleep, as tucked in next to JR was a familiar, safe, place. No matter what life threw at the two of them, everything would be all right if they could just come back to moments like this. Usually, Kiska would shy away from such sentimental thoughts – they had been prevalent for minutes now – and try to find something else to occupy her mind with. But all she could think about was every cheesy book she’d ever read and thinking there was some merit to the cheesiness.
