Belvedere simply didn't understand laziness. Work was his comfort zone. Work was the rock he clung to in a storm, it's what he relied on when nothing else could provide him with sweet productive distractions. Thus he ended up here, as always. It'd been a cycle of locating empty spaces in order to practice, but still remain safely alone. The trick with that, however, was to be consistently careful that you don't find two students snogging like he did a week ago, only to be met with much displeasure from his uhm- passionate peers. So now he made sure to listen outside the door and, in more extreme cases, cast a charm or two to find out if said space was occupied.

Thankfully, the abandoned classroom was vacant today. He had set up his usual workshop: he had several unassuming objects placed on a row of desks in front of him: a jar, a small statue he'd found in this very classroom, a knut, and a pillow from the set they often used in charm's class to practice levitating without breaking things or people alike. He stood in front of the desks as if he was the teacher (not a good one, he noted, due to pointing his wand at his 'pupils'). With his uniform sleeves rolled up, cloak folded neatly over the teacher's desk beside him, book laying open next to it. He leaned over the text briefly, clicking his tongue as he scanned the words that he had already spent a considerable amount of time learning and stood upright once more.

Belvedere calmly aimed his wand at the small wooden statue shaped like an aged wizard and spoke in the clearest tone he could: "Duro." The effect was immediate: the small statue seemed to emit a crunching noise as it's wood turned suddenly to greyish stone. He approached and plucked it from the desk, measuring it's weight in his hand and noting curiously that it didn't retain the weight of it's normal wooden form, but was instead heavier for being stone now. After a moment of examining it, he placed it precisely back where it had been and took a few steps back. Again, he raised his wand, but this time he preformed a different spell: "Finite Incantatem," Once his words were complete, the statue had returned to it's original state. Again, he stepped forward to judge the spell's effectiveness by weighing it in his hands and examining it for any stray bits of stone sill attached, but alas, it had made a full transformation smoothly.

Again. He did not feel like writing overdue letters to his aunts or mother right now, he only felt like honing his abilities. He didn't want to write to his father either, and though he had written less to his father overall, he had kept up a steady correspondence. His aunts and mother received letters of anything that peaked his interest, they got his ramblings, his father got his attentive, presentable thoughts and feelings. He would have to draft a letter when this was over.

But for now, he aimed at the jar instead. Work was comforting, and productive. It was best this way.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Petra felt every nerve in her being tighten as the boy who sat close to her in the library tap his pen against the library desk as he flipped through his book. The Slytherin wanted to grab his pen and throw it out the nearest window, but she opted against it because she was Petra Connor. And she was a lady and ladies didn't grab pens and throw them out windows. Well, she assumed because that wasn't really polite though tapping a pen against the wood was impolite.

It got to be too much. The constant tapping as she tried to focus on her charm textbook. Finally, she had enough of the annoying tapping and closed her book. Standing up, she glared at the boy before leaving. She really wished her glare could kill.

Finding places to study were time-consuming and aggravating. Not only was it hard to find a good pace to study. The Slytherin hated the fact that places that were supposed to abandon; never seem to be abandon. Students stealing few kisses, which obviously a blatant disregard of school rules. The pureblood princess even pointed out kissing was against school rules. But let's just say that they weren't too happy that she had disrupted them kissing with telling them that shouldn't be doing that. It wasn't her fault that the school handbook states that any form of PDA was against school policies.

Petra was aware of the reputation that she seem to build through her years at Hogwarts. It wasn't like it bother her, most students seem to understand that she was a buzzkill and left any room she entered. Also, breaking rules was never a good idea. They were consequences and also she would hate to have that disapproving look Marco seem to give to Adalie and Kai constantly. She would hate to get any disapproving look from any of the professors or Hogwarts staff.

The thing about trying to find a place to study. Sometimes the place is already taken by another dedicated student. Spying was not a thing Petra did often. Well, was it spying if she was curious about what spells he was casting? Quietly, she watched as he performed them skillfully and beautifully.

Looking down at her charm textbook. He might be able to help her study. She opened the door a little wider before clearing her throat. "Excuse me, " Petra said as she stepped into the room. "I don't want to be intrusive, but I'm studying charms and you seem to be too. Do you mind me sharing this room with you?" She asked, hoping that he was willing to share the room with her.

Belvedere was focused, but not focused enough that he didn't hear footsteps and halt his movement with his wand still pointed at the pillow he was about to levitate. The door creaked behind him, and he craned his head around to peer at whomever was intruding upon him, only to see a very pretty blonde girl that he faintly recognized from some of his classes. It took him a moment or two to remember her name: he'd heard it from his teachers more than his peers, which already began to speak to who she was as a person. "Of course," He gestured for her to join him as he lowered his wand and walked around her to shut the door once more. "So long as you aren't distracting, of course," He added, but his baritone voice was completed with a hum of pleasant friendliness.

He walked back to where his objects and book lay open on the abandoned classroom's unoccupied desks as he rolled his sleeves up neatly to his elbows. "Right, so-" He paused once more, realizing he hadn't introduced himself. It was much too often that he forgot to do these things. Turning, hair slightly messy, he spoke; "I'm Belvedere, by the way. Belvedere Chau. You are?" He began to flip through the book, but was still listening (even if it didn't appear so.) Whenever he did look at her, she might get the feeling he's staring. Likely because he is. Belvedere was the type to make prolonged eye contact and he knew it, but he had been raised to look everyone respectfully in the eye- especially if he was proving a point for whatever reason. But the girl didn't seem threatening in the slightest, she was just like him, looking for a quiet place to be. He must admit; this did do wonders for him distracting himself.

But right now, he was simply at school studying with another student, so his gaze wasn't sharp like steel as it normally was. In fact, his aura was pleasant and welcoming, if not slightly distracted by the book he was flipping through. He knew it off by heart by now, but it was important to revise, and thus he did. "I have an idea,| He stated, which could either be excellent or slightly dangerous. This time, however, he figured it was excellent. He flicked his wand and stated clearly, "Accio hoop," There was a muted thumping noise. Belvedere cocked a brow before another similar thumping noise issued from the other side of the classroom. Finally, a hoola-hoop seemed to escape whatever had been holding it in place and it soared over to him from across the room. He caught it neatly in one hand and turned to Petra, holding it up slightly. "How about you levitate the pillow, and I'll levitate the hoop and you'll try to guide it through the hoop? It's good accuracy practice, I've wanted to do it for a while but..." He trailed off, and cocked his head slightly. 'No one to practice with, he left unsaid.
