Come visit the house elves and get a snack. Visiting the kitchens is a risky business though. Will some hungry HoH's find out you've come down here? Watch out...

Pig out on pumpkin pasties, introduce yourself to the rest of your house, or take a peek at the standings in the Inter-House Competition.

HIDE! QUICK! From what, you ask? Ha. You really don't want to know. Trust us, we've been there, done that. However broom closets are excellent for hiding from teachers, enemies, prefects, unwanted lovers... The list goes on.

Congregate here during your lunch or in between classes. A stone fountain with dancing gargoyles graces the center of the courtyard and benches for knowledge-weary students surround the perimeter.

Though long since abandoned, the room still has all the magic it did when Dumbledore transformed it, though it may be a bit twisted due to the whole alternate-universe thing. You can decide what happenings will occur in here.

At the far end of the castle, there lies a great room that brings joy to many. Whatever holiday it might be, there's a dance going on! Even if there isn't a holiday, people are still on the dance floor, shaking their stuff. On Friday nights, you will catch the energetic dance club scene, while some Saturday nights you will catch the elegant ball room scene. It all depends really!

The world of performing arts is magical in itself. Come here for a magical spin on all of the greatest plays.

Come in here for all the classes. Participate and earn house points!

Look, now Hogwarts has it's own little mail system! Send notes to your friends (and maybe even foes if you're feeling slightly mischievous).

Talk between classes, wreak havoc, and watch out for flying hexes!

Injured in a battle or fall off your broom during quidditch? Here's the place for you. Madam Pomfrey will clean you right up. Just a warning though: avoid at all costs the Skele-gro.

... A winding hallway? Where will it lead? Nobody's actually explored all of it, but you're welcome to investigate the numerous doors leading off it or just go for a stroll.

The classroom hasn't been used in years, and no one knows why. Tucked in a back corner of the castle and unused for several years, the chairs are a bit dusty and the bookshelves are mostly empty, but it's nice and isolated if that's what you're looking for.<.div>

If you can find it, and that's the tricky part, the pool is magical. It's well worth the effort though, as the taps are similar to the ones in the Prefect bathrooms and there seems to be an endless supply of snuggly Turkish bathtowels.

Come and have a chat with Myrtle or brew a secret potion. Also the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. You know, technically it's for girls only, but we won't say anything if you guys want to be a bit dodgy and come in.

Technically speaking, this leads to the room that holds Fluffy... but who knows what could lay here with the whole alternate-universe thing? What are we talking about? Psh, go read the plot you lazy arse.

Behind a portrait of a stern witch lecturing a classroom of students is the teacher's lounge, where the professors gather to socialize and discuss their work. You can get in if you're a student, but if a professor finds you there without permission, you're going to be in trouble!

Houses awards, trophies, cups, etc. Also holds a list of head boys and girls. Who knows what kind of prank you could pull in here?

Seemingly endless rows of bookshelves are located here, filled with eons of knowledge for the avid young reader, or for anyone who needs to catch up on some homework.

Just by looking at this portrait of the founders you may not be able to tell that behind it lurks an amazing room. What will you discover?

You do the crime, you do the time. The place where you can find the bad kids all the time and the good ones when they slip up- or feel like having a little fun.

Prefects only! Or, also for those that manage to sneak in.

To the eye it looks like a typical school staircase. Who really knows what adventure it might hold?

The teachers prepare their lessons, meet with students, and just hang out in their offices. If you're looking for one, try here first.

You'd better believe it baby! Anything you want, here it is! Actually, that's not true. If you require it, then it might magically appear in the RoR. Either way, it's a fantabulous place that promises much adventure and excitement.

This is where all members of the houses can get together and socialize. Have some fun and get to know each other, maybe even start a pillow fight!

Send letters, visit owls, whatever you wish. It's a bit musty smelling and watch out for bird droppings though.

This is another one of the many mysteries of Hogwarts. Over the years, it's been less and less used, and now it's only used by devious students looking for an escape.

What kind of hide away will you find?

Gaze at the stars all night loooong, just be mindful that you don't get caught by any lurking professors or prefects.

Sneak in here for a bit of adventure, but be careful. There's many a strange creature lurking in here. You never know what might swoop or scuttle down and take a bite of your head- or worse.

See all the pretty growing plants- if you can call them plants. Many of them seem to be alive... and moving. Come learn about Herbology here also.

Stop and smell the roses... But knock on wood they're not poisonous. You can never tell with a certain someone 'round here. This spot is often popular with lovers, so mind your head about nasty insults and flying hexes.

The grounds of Hogwarts are vast, covering miles of countryside in verdant splendor. The green grass is a welcoming carpet for students interested in playing games or just taking a rest.

Ride a horse through the forest ... or ... some other creature. Students are not expected to bring a horse, even if they have one, however it is possible to do so. The stables house a number of friendly horses available for any students to take out at their leisure.

Take a swim, chat with the merpeople, or go fishing. Don't forget some sunblock as well. If you dare to take a dip, watch out the Giant Squid doesn't tickle your toesies!

Think you're a Keeper? Chaser, Beater, or Seeker? Find out. Quidditch matches will be held here in the future, but in the mean time, take a flying lesson or two and brush up on your skills.

Ah, Hogsmeade, home of the famed Three Broomsticks. If you're not one for butterbeer, try the local love shack known as Madam Puddifoots. Neither of those interest you either? Zonko's Joke Shop would surely do the trick. Only third years and up may visit Hogsmeade Village... unless of course you sneak in.

For all your wizarding needs: wands, school supplies, robes, Quidditch, and ice cream. Or you could take a trip to the Leaky Cauldron. There's rooms available if you wish to stay the night, or you can have a nice cuppa with some friends.

Snag a collection of the prettiest seashells and become the envy of all your friends! That is... if you can avoid the sharp spears of the inhabitants.

Care to explore moments that took place before your character's current timeline? A special Christmas at age 9? A torturous class during their first year? Play around in the past or take a crack at a provided prompt. A great place to get to know your character even better.

Rumor has it that this area has been long deserted and all that remains are remnants of the acromantula's sticky webs. Do you dare to explore and find out for yourself if the rumors are true?

If you are lucky enough to stumble across it, you will find the most magnificent thing you've ever seen. A creek that runs through the woods drops off over a tall cliff, creating this treasure. The pool at the bottom houses many creatures, and there may even be a cave behind it. What will you find?

Various locations. Muggle Britain - the Muggle world in general, actually - is still very much intact and bustling. If you are looking to get away from the pollution of the wizarding world, the Muggle one is a lovely escape... usually. That isn't to say the Muggle world is completely untainted by the war.
